Hello! I’m Jesse

I’m the founder of North Wales Tutoring, with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (Honours) from The University of Manchester and a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics from Bangor University.

I have been tutoring for over 8 years, including the past 2 years as a full-time tutor. During that time, I have supported students across Primary, SATs, GCSE and A-Level, and have seen first-hand how the right one-to-one support can improve both academic results and a student’s confidence.

I was diagnosed with autism later in life, which gave me a much clearer understanding of some of the challenges that neurodivergent learners can experience in education. It is one of the reasons I care so much about making tutoring feel supportive, patient and adaptable rather than one-size-fits-all.

North Wales Tutoring is also SEND-friendly. We work with specialist and experienced tutors who support learners with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD and other SEND requirements, and we aim to match each learner with a tutor who suits both their academic needs and the way they learn best.

I’m very passionate about tutoring and helping students build their confidence, understand difficult topics and make real progress towards their academic goals.

That experience led me to build North Wales Tutoring. We now work with tutors across Mathematics, English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Welsh and more with experience across WJEC, Eduqas, AQA, Edexcel, OCR and CAIE. I remain closely involved in matching each family with a tutor suited to their subject, goals and individual learning needs.

I am also the Designated Safeguarding Lead for North Wales Tutoring, with lead responsibility for our safeguarding procedures and for coordinating our response when a safeguarding concern is reported.
