GCSE & A-Level Maths, Further Mathematics & Physics Tutor
Jordan is studying MEng Biomedical Engineering at Imperial College London and tutors GCSE and A-Level Maths, Further Mathematics and Physics. Having recently completed A-Levels with A*A*A across Further Mathematics, Mathematics and Physics, Jordan combines strong subject knowledge with recent experience of the demands students face when learning difficult concepts and preparing for assessments.
Jordan is currently studying Biomedical Engineering at Imperial College London after completing A-Levels in Further Mathematics, Mathematics and Physics with A*A*A overall.
Jordan has one year of tutoring experience across both online and in-person lessons and has worked with students ranging from Year 4 through to Year 13. This experience has provided insight into the different challenges students can face at different stages of their education.
Lessons are planned around each student's individual needs rather than following one fixed teaching style. Jordan adapts explanations, pace and practice depending on the learner's ability, confidence and response to different methods.
The aim is to help students develop genuine understanding so that they can approach unfamiliar questions more confidently rather than relying only on memorised procedures.
Jordan currently tutors all three subjects at GCSE and A-Level. Lessons can focus on difficult topics, deeper understanding, problem solving, school assessments or exam preparation.
Jordan creates tailored lesson plans and adjusts teaching methods according to the student's ability, learning style and current areas of difficulty.
Jordan has used mock-style assessments approximately every eight weeks to check how well students have retained previously taught material alongside topics currently being covered at school.
Jordan regularly uses assessment to understand whether a student can still apply earlier learning after time has passed. This helps identify gaps that might otherwise remain unnoticed until a larger school assessment or exam.
Mock-style questions can cover both material taught during tutoring and topics currently being studied in school, giving a clearer picture of where future lessons should focus.
Jordan aims to create lessons where students feel comfortable asking questions while still being challenged to think independently and demonstrate genuine understanding.
Tell us the student's year group, subject, exam board, current areas of difficulty and preferred lesson times and we can help arrange online tuition with Jordan.
